"Jangly, clever rock n roll that Spoon or Pavement wouldn't be mad at at all."

- Petra's

Tiny City performs on stage at the Rooster in Gastonia, NC.

About Tiny City

Hailing from Charlotte, North Carolina, Tiny City is an indie rock and roll band carving a fresh path for themselves and meandering between post-punk and power pop.

Tiny City explores versatile sonic textures, delicate and familiar themes, driving riffs, and danceability to which no one is immune to.

Tiny City is influenced by a wide range of music's modern greats – Spoon, Modest Mouse, and The Strokes – and legends such as Otis Redding, The Clash, and Talking Heads.

Tiny City released their first proper EP, a love-letter to late 70s power pop, Sympathetic Lovers, in 2013, followed by a handful of other singles, EPs, and full-lengths.

Their most recent release is a  collection of singles and B-sides, It's Alright, released in 2022.

How It Started

Two longtime friends from high school, Derek (vocals, drums) and Brendan (guitar, keys, vocals) began crafting their music in 2008, picking up Caleb (guitar), Nick (bass), and Brannden (drums), along the way.

What's Next?

Tiny City is currently wrapping up their most ambitious work to date, a full-length set for an early 2025 release. In support of this new LP, Tiny City will be expanding out of the Charlotte music scene. Coming to a city near you soon!
